John Richard Rooney ( born 17 December 1990 ) is an english professional football player who plays for Stockport County as an attacking midfielder. He is the younger brother of Derby County director and former England forth Wayne Rooney. Although born in England, Rooney has expressed a desire to represent the Republic of Ireland at external level. [ 2 ]

John Rooney was born in Liverpool, Merseyside [ 1 ] to Jeanette Maria Rooney ( née Morrey ) and Thomas Wayne Rooney.
