Marcus Edwards ( bear 3 December 1998 ) is an english football player who plays as an attacking midfielder or as a winger for Primeira Liga golf club Vitória de Guimarães.

Club career [edit ]
Tottenham Hotspur [edit ]
Edwards joined the academy system at Tottenham Hotspur at the old age of eight and progressed through the ranks. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] On 2 August 2016, he signed his inaugural professional shrink with Tottenham after a prolong menstruation of negotiations amidst interest from other clubs. [ 5 ] [ 6 ] Edwards joined the Tottenham first team in the summer of 2016 for their pre-season tour [ 7 ] and produced some impressive performances in pre-season matches. In January 2018, Edwards moved on loanword to Championship side Norwich City for the end of the 2017–18 season. Vitória de Guimarães [edit ]
On 2 September 2019, Portuguese Primeira Liga club Vitória S.C. signed Edwards on a four-year bargain. The club will receive merely 50 % of any future transfer fees. [ 23 ] He scored his first goal on 24 October in the UEFA Europa League group stage, opening a 3–2 loss at his former baseball club ‘s rivals, Arsenal. [ 24 ] On 7 January 2021 Edwards got his contract renewed until 2024 with a release clause of 50 million euro. [ 25 ]

Edwards is eligible to play for England and Cyprus through his mother. [ 26 ] In November 2013, Edwards made his England U16 introduction, where he played 80 minutes, in a 1–0 loss against Northern Ireland U16. [ 27 ] He went on to make six appearances and scoring once for the U16 english. At the England under-17 side, Edwards scored three times throughout 2014, including a brace on his debut in a 5–1 gain over Iceland U17. [ 28 ] Edwards was selected to represent England under-17 at the 2015 UEFA european Under-17 Championship. [ 29 ] During the tournament, he went on to make five appearances, as he scored two goals against Italy U17 and Republic of Ireland U17. [ 30 ] He was subsequently included in the team of the tournament. [ 31 ] Edwards besides appeared at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. [ 32 ] In September 2015, Edwards was called up to the England U18 squad, making his debut for the side, in a 2–0 win over Netherlands U18, in which he set up one of the goals. [ 33 ] He besides went on to score a pair on two occasions against Austria U18 and Republic of Ireland U18 in March 2016. [ 34 ] Edwards went on to make five appearances and scoring four times at England U18. In October 2016, Edwards was called up to the England under-19 team, making his debut in a 3–1 win over Croatia U19 before scoring in a follow-up match with a 2–1 succeed over Bulgaria U19. [ 35 ] Edwards was included in the England under-19 police squad for the 2017 UEFA european Under-19 Championship. [ 36 ] In the semi-final, Edwards came off the bench to provide the aid for Lukas Nmecha to score the only goal of the game against the Czech Republic. [ 37 ] Edwards was besides a second-half substitute during the victory against Portugal in the final. [ 38 ] After the end of the tournament, Edwards was called up to the England U20 police squad in August 2017 and scored on his U20 debut, in a 3–0 gain over Netherlands U20. [ 39 ]
