Reds beaten to wonderkid Southampton are reportedly leading the raceway to sign Fleetwood Town child James Hill, who is besides purportedly a prey for Chelsea, Liverpool and most of the Premier League. According to TEAMtalk, Southampton are in a pole position to secure the Fleetwood defensive prodigy, who is expected to leave the club in the January transfer window. The 19-year-old has made his name in League One but appears ready to take the future step in his career, and Southampton, it seems, could be the club at which he has chosen to do that. Firmino tipped to leave Former Chelsea forth Tony Cascarino says that Steven Gerrard could target Liverpool players to boost his Aston Villa police squad — and he will be aiming very high. Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino said : “ I ’ ve got a feel, I wouldn ’ t be surprised if Roberto Firmino went to Villa. And I say that because there ’ south always puzzles to managers and their former clubs. They love going back to people they work with. “ Danny Ings hasn ’ triiodothyronine worked out at Villa. I ’ meter surprise because I like Danny, I think he ’ s a terrific player but it doesn ’ metric ton feel like it ’ s worked out. “ I think Ollie Watkins needs a type of Firmino player to get the best out of him. Gerrard is going to look for that type of actor. When he talks about being exciting for the fans, they ’ re going big. “ People might say Jürgen Klopp will never let him go. But he ’ sulfur been a submarine way besides often. [ Diogo ] Jota has taken his position at Liverpool. ”

While Gerrard would credibly like to add Firmino to his team, it might take some convincing not only for Liverpool to sell him, but besides for the brazilian to be tempted into a motion to Villa Park. Erling Haaland ‘decision made’ Liverpool have been linked with a move for norwegian striking sense Erling Haaland for some time, as have the rest of the exceed club around Europe, but there remains a few months for him to make a concluding decision ( and for teams to decide whether or not they can afford him ). A report in Diario AS states that Haaland has apparently confirmed his intentions while on vacation, however. The 21-year-old is presently in Marbella for the Bundesliga winter break, and is said to have been approached by a group of locals who asked where his future act will be. Haaland is said to have responded to the question : “ I will play here, in Spain. ” His agent said last month that Spain was a possibility for his client, though Premier League sides are besides likely to be taking a lament pastime. Klopp wants Hazard Jürgen Klopp has purportedly ‘requested ‘ the sign of Eden Hazard from Real Madrid, with Liverpool officials, according to El Nacional, not therefore keen on the mind as they think he is past his best .

The reports of Klopp wanting Hazard first came out of Spain from the same publication in late November, and immediately the narrative has resurfaced, though the chances of it being true are highly slender. Hazard is 30 and has been a complete flop at Real Madrid since his €100m ( £88m ) act ; he is besides yet to score this season in any contest and averaged less than one finish every three games for Chelsea. Liverpool do need another attacking player, but it needs to be a well younger one unless the fee and wages involved were peculiarly low — in which character his former golf club Chelsea would credibly enter the equation and try to bring him back.
