Christen Annemarie Press ( bear December 29, 1988 ) is an american english soccer actor for Angel City FC of the National Women ‘s Soccer League ( NWSL ) and the United States national team. Born in Los Angeles to Cody and Stacy Press, Christen was raised in the suburb of Palos Verdes Estates with her two sisters, Channing and Tyler. On November 22, 2021, amidst the 2021 NWSL abuse scandal, Press alleged maltreatment against former Chicago Red Stars coach Rory Dames. Press revealed in an article by The Washington Post that she had tried to speak up about Dames ‘ demeanor in 2014 to former US Soccer President Sunil Gulati, but her “ concerns were dismissed. ” Press went on to say that her request for a craft from the Chicago Red Stars in 2017 was ascribable to Dames ‘ discussion of her, and in 2018, she filed a complain against him to US Soccer. [ 150 ] That lapp day of the 22nd, the NWSL ‘s players union released a instruction in support of Press and Press ‘ former Red Stars teammates Jen Hoy and Sam Johnson who came forward with similar allegations. Following the United States ‘ acquire at the 2015 FIFA Women ‘s World Cup, Press and her teammates became the first women ‘s sports team to be honored with a watch videotape parade in New York City.
