Galaga [ a ] is a 1981 fixed shooter arcade game develop and published by Namco. In North America, it was released by Midway Manufacturing. It is the sequel to Galaxian ( 1979 ), Namco ‘s first major video recording game hit in arcades. Namco published a Game Boy version in Japan in 1995, Galaxian & Galaga, bundled with Galaxian. [ 19 ] Nintendo published the game outside Japan under the Arcade Classic mark. [ 20 ] Two mobile phone versions were released, both confined to Japan ; the foremost was for i-Mode in 2001, [ 21 ] and the second for EZweb in 2006.
