Emilie de Ravin ( ) is an Australian-American actress. She starred as Tess Harding on Roswell ( 2000–2002 ), Claire Littleton on the ABC drama Lost ( 2004–2008, 2010 ), and as Belle on the ABC play Once Upon a Time ( 2011–2018 ). After three years of dating, actor Josh Janowicz proposed to De Ravin on New Year ‘s Day 2003 in Melbourne, which she said “ was very impromptu and very sweet ”.
